Experience
Fifteen years across national labs, university research and spaceflight industry — with software as the common thread.
-
Rocket Lab
Principal Ground Software Engineer
Present
Working on the Intermission product area, used for command and control of spacecraft and for analyzing telemetry coming down from satellites.
-
Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics
Professional Research Assistant
University of Colorado Boulder
Science Data Center Lead for NASA's IMAP mission, leading a team of roughly ten software engineers implementing algorithms for ten instruments built by teams around the world, plus the infrastructure delivering those data products to scientists and the public. Also led model development for the SWx TREC group, bringing scientists' research code into operational environments and deploying it to production.
-
United States Geological Survey
Mendenhall Postdoctoral Fellow
Geomagnetism Program
Geoelectric hazard research and the risk severe space weather poses to the power grid. Wrote several software packages now widely used by researchers in the field.
-
Regis University
Affiliate Professor
Introductory Physics Lab
Taught the introductory physics laboratory course.
